bzfs not loading vars.txt

Yep - my vars aren't showing up - so one would have to enter them manualy in the server (no way).

This is the portion in my config:

Code: Select all

-vars vars.txt
And the vars file:

Code: Select all

/set wingsJumpCount 5
/set rainType snow
/set mirror blue
/set shockOutRadius 20
What am I doing wrong? (Win OS)

Thanks.

Well, I let it run all night, and there have been people playing on it successfully.
I think it may have been the global registration kicking unreg'ed players?

"Recalibrating QPC Frequency" - Players cannot joi

Tryin to get a server back in the groove. I am running it without any special reject pings/udp options in it, and I think i need one of 'em - the problem is, what do I add? I can join myself, but thats normal - it would be local. I can see others trying to join, but it says "Player removed...&q...

Just for my own future reference - isnt there a no-death option you can add to it?

My 2 cents - navigate to the BZ File list @ sourceforge and try out a different version.

:-D
Be sure to add the multiplayer "Sonic Robo Blast 2" game.
It is mappable using a Doom 3D editor - but I would never sacrifice time to make new maps for it :-D

Like you said, it is extremely simple.
If my memory serves me correctly, water is possible by adding the following:

options
-waterlevel 1
end

This is a slight guess, but I did it before...

Mini-Mayhem (With Screenshots!)

4Team CTF 100x100 minimap. I tested it inside-out, so it should work very smoothly with about 8 players at once. No options are in the map file, so feel free to open it in BZEdit. I would love to see this hosted - it is an extremely small filesize, and would not take much server space at all. If nob...

Sir Lance-A-Lot.

I started as Lance-A-Lot, then added "Sir" to give it a more "knightly" sound.
I was always a huge fan of the "King Arthur" books and stories, so I decided to honor the legendary Lancelot with this name. :lol-old:

Maybe I'm wrong, but...
Doesn't the in-game "Start Server" option use the bzfs.conf file in the "Data" folder as a server config file?

If it does, you could edit it with a -password yourpasshere option - right?

Or maybe I don't understand it correctly...
