Basically every portable app I've seen is for Windows only - as you use Macs, we couldn't use any of those systems. You would need to store BZFlag binaries for all the systems you use it on, and BZFlag would probably still leave traces of itself. By including Linux, you bypass those problems by usin...

As I was saying, we should sort them into tabs. The BZFS server should be able to place itself under any tab it wishes. That way, there are no 'special' servers or anything. If someone wants to put up a tutorial map, all they have to do is give BZFS an extra option to specify what tab they want thei...

I made some cannons a while back for somebody that had a small surface sloped just right inside, so when one shot into the cannon, the bullet flew out of the barrel at the right angle. It wasn't too hard, though you will need a calculator  The concept is really cool, as is the map! Someone els...

It isn't good to force people to do anything. It would probably be quite aggravating to someone who just globaly registered after playing BZ for 6 months, to find that they can't play at their favorite servers anymore... What we need are tabs, and the ability to control categorization. IE: Tutorial ...

One of the problems is your tunnel ceiling is too low for the flag, whatever the limit is. I've got a guess that you might be able to change that limit by changing one of the _flag* variables? Specifically, try lowering _flagHeight, which is the height of the flag used in physics I think (to change ...

I think he meant:

Unfortunately, those objects can't affect physics in any way, and are limited to rotating around Z.
Hmm... for complex movement patterns, scripting probably would be best, or a plugin (scripting would be better for maps, I think).

You mean you've never seen Star Wars?Tanner wrote: Technically light can't bounce off eachother unless theres a mirror there, but you can't see through a mirror and still have it bounce off.

Why don't you need working pipes? From what I see, the pipe isn't too big. L4m3r's pipe mechanism looks great - from what I can tell, it looks like you can teleport both directions. You go in a pipe, you land on a bouncy moving surface that flings you in a teleporter. You fly out of the teleporter i...
