Ok lets get this straite out there im a newb on editing. I really just downloaded it yesterday. Now i'd first like to know how you rotate the world so you can look at the other side and anyother advice you can give me. Also if you have any cool effects that you could give me to add to maps that would be great too.

Because the server isn't started. You need to start it first.Bman wrote:BEEP .....wrong awnser error connecting to server.

OK, Bman, please learn to spell or use a spell checker and be a little more descriptive, less cocky and don't SHOUT. We are not sitting at your computer and you are not giving us much information. If you don't know what is wrong it may very well be something with the port on your machine not being open, CBG and A Met do have running servers, you do not. They probably know what they are talking about. As a word of wisdom, try being a little nicer when asking for help. You are much more likely to get it then.
I can barely tell what you are talking about, but I think you are starting your server and it is not showing up on the public server list. Am I correct?
If you do not have your configuration set up correctly it will not show up in that list, and then you need to have your network setup correctly also. Do you have a line in your configuration that says something like:
-public "Bman's first map"
That is what tells the public list what to call it.
Now if you are just starting the server on your local machine with no intention of making it public you will not see it on the list. You will need to enter localhost in the Server: portion of the connect screen in your BZFlag client and then probably 5154 in the port entry (if you are using the default port). If you do that in the client after you start the server, you MAY be able to connect. If not you need to check firewall settings on your local machine. If that doesn't work go to http://bzflag.org/wiki/CreatingAServer and read that. Follow the instructions carefully and then ask inteligent questions instead of "it doesn't work!!"

Drop your map in bzw format in your worlds folder, goto "Start Server" and pick all the options then pick your map.
Hit start server and then go back to the main menu and goto connect (BZFlag should have automatically put 127.0.0.1 or localhost in there with port 5154)
are you using windows or a apple os?
Well he's using bzedit... I don't think iBZEdit uses right-click to move the camera... do you? (it's obvious he's on windows)
@Bman: if you want help, be helpful. don't play games on the forum, makes you look like an idiot. (And I can tell from your webpage that you aren't)
