Tankzilla: iBZEdit is still in it's early stages. It's usable, yes, but not to the degree of the original BZEdit or any other ways of editing maps.
My personal advice is to get used to using Blender. It will be the future of mapmaking in the 2.x era - i don't think anybody can deny that. Get into the habit of using blender sooner rather than later....
The other option which i have used to mainly to make my maps so far is making maps in TextEdit, by typing out code for each of the objects.
