DMP told me today, the motherboard is "dead" He expects too get another motherboard tommorow or the day after.

No data is lost (except it dosnt do datacollection while its down). I bought a new motherboard but it didnt help, so I guess the must be the CPU thats dead. But as its weekend i cannot buy one before monday, when i get home from the university.

When I see [dmp] screen name, my mind tries to pronounce it. I just think "dump".

Any ways, thanks for keeping the BZFlag ladder active in the community. It's fun to check in every month or so and see who's scoring 700% ratios.

Im actuallyl considering a nick that you can pronounce, abit tired of this one, but since everybody knows me as [dmp] i guess its hard to get rid of.

Some people dont like the idea of me changing nick.

Its up again. I finally got the computer working after buying alot of hardware. It seems that my 512mb ram is dead too, so im only running with 128mb ram. Last time I had this little memory mysql became unstable (crashed alot). If this happens again, I will kill the ladder for good, to take the workload away from mysql. (mysql is used for authentication of different services, which i consider more important than the ladder).

I've already used something like 75% of they money i got for this month on getting this stupid server up again, so i cant buy anything else

[dmp].... I was wondering about how you could change your callsign as well. I've considered ditching "Spaceman Spiff".... but so many people wouldn't know who I was... and it sounds a lot like me.

Well, i lost 512mb otherwise the computer is up as before. I just applied for a job yesterday, so i hope to get that. If that damn appartment would eb sold, i would be better off.. Oh well.

The babyhead is a picture my girlfriend found on the net (i think). Then i added the glasses and the tatoo to make it more "mine". I wanted a helmet too, but that made the picture messy.

The idea was to have something that was related to bzflag, but not "tank" or soldiers. Came to this. Wanted to change it for ages but never got around to it. Come to think of it, I got a picture of my kidbrother (age 3) who looks really sneaky and points a shotgun at the camera. Perhaps I need to find this again

Thanks for the offer, but no thanks. If I got your memory I would feel obligated to continue running the ladder. I would rather keep the "freedom" to shut it down whenever i feel like it. Even if I got the ladder running smoothly on the server, it would still eat bandwidth.

And Im kinda fed up with all those lag-comments I get, and is begining the lose interest/passion in bzflag. So I want to have my options open.

For now, i think a break would do me good - might even clear my mind
