Forum search issue

Post by z[h]ero »

I know there are several topics about UDP on this forum. (Planned to search and add a suited post about UDP today, else I wouldn't find out about this issue)
However when I type the term "udp" or "UDP" into the search box, I get no results, namely: "No suitable matches were found."

What's wrong with the search feature?

It appears that this could be related to a MySQL search parameter (which phpBB3 uses). It seems that the default to index words for "full text indexing" is set to words of 4 letters or greater. Not sure if we want to drop it to 3, as then you get all the main connector words, such as 'the', 'and', 'but', etc...

We will take a look at it.
