i am disappointed that the days of borrego are past,
now that was a server that really tested skill.
why i remember october rust was on once and he didnt die until his score was 50+ and by the time he was on 100+ he had died like twice
Borrego hosted a pillbox map. Nowadays you can still play on that same map, only the server that's most often higher on the popular list is dub.bzflag.org:5150. Same map, different server.
In other words, the server doesn't test skill, the map does.
After playing at dub.bzflag.org:5150 for a while, you should notice many of those same players you saw at borrego. I for one know that October Rust plays at dub's pillbox server quite often. Perhaps you are just on at different times.
