My tank gets stuck in gates

Post by firewire »

Maybe someone has a suggestion. On some BZ maps, my tank gets stuck (sealed) in the transporter gates. It's not universal, but it can be frustrating, particularly when following another tank through the gate and it goes through. Any ideas? Anything that I can set?

I'm running Debian Etch.

This, unfotunately, is quite common on Mofo and other servers, the best advice i can offer is to not get sealed without a flag by modifying the source code, (Which Might be considered cheating on some servers) other than that, just try to avoid the tele jumps for now.

Bulkley this has to do with how bzflag calculates the physics of your tank and the teleporter edge. The best thing to do is stay away from the edges (left and right) jumping on top of them should be fine :)

Davy: This isn't a simple mod in the source or it would already be fixed. This has to do with rotating your tank when your near a pole.

oh yeah *slaps himself* your not really sealed...your stuck, so that mod wouldn't work anyways if you DID happen to modify it, so i stand by my previous advice...avoid the teles =)
