Catapult (CP) flag

When you grab this flag, a visible Catapult will appear attached to your tank. When someone fires bullet at or close to you, you can press the fire button to have the catapult pick it up. The bullet doesn't have to be regular bullet; it can also be a GM, SB, etc. However, you can only hold one bullet at a time. When you press fire again, you'll lob the shot to a point ahead of that is marked on the radar (you can hold the fire button down to adjust where you'll fire the shot before you shoot). Once you release the fire button, the shot will fly up to land at it's target. It won't stop until it lands, so you can take out multiple WG targets. The height and distance you can lob the shot will be set as a serverside option.

Way too complicated is what I think. Creative but complicated. :)

There could be a catapult that shoots bolts 45 degrees in the air.

3. Same button as shooting and catapulting. Holding down fire to adjust how far to catapult. Confusing for the noobs.

I just don't think we need a flag like this. The flags suggested that we actually need are far and few inbetween. Please don't take offense... :)

OK. I have an alternative. What if we have a rico flag. Instead of shooting you get the flag and when someones near you, you press fire and it rebounds their shots back at them. Or maybe you could grab the flag and it stays with you for a certain amount of time and you can still fire, but the downside would be your shots can still hit you. Just an idea.

Nah, then it loses the whole point of being able to lob shots.

If you were to make this flag, it would be very hard to judge where the bullet would land if each server had different settings for height and length. It's a good thought, but I don't like it.

Edit:

I meant that the flag will allow you to shoot still but their will be a shield that stays with you for a certain amount of time or for a certain amount of shots. So no matter how many times you get hit, its still there. The downside would be your shots can still penetrate the shield.

FS flag: Full Shield??

i like the idea of lobbing shots in the air. the longer you hold the shooting key, the further and higher the shot goes.

But like i said before, wouldn't it be nearly impossible to aim? You'd need perfect accuracy, and many people wouldn't like it.

That'd be more like a reflector.
Though, it would be pretty funny if someone tries to shoot you, you
reflect the shot, and they end up killing theirself. A nice little "gotcha!" :D
I'm thinking I need a better sig than this...

The main problem with that is that they would be killing themselves. That would mean all your shots would be useless to you if your interested in earning points.

Ahh but see thats the beauty of it. They shoot, it reflects back at them, they jump, you turn and kill them! Its perfect :D

Here is an alternative (Seeing as how the velocity and angle factors would be hard to calculate upon firing the shot): When you get the flag, the barrel of your gun will turn into a bucket, which you can use to catch shots only if you are directly facing the incoming shot. When you catch three shots, the bucket will disappear, and next time you fire, you will shoot out a really big bullet. There will be no modified aiming procedures. Instead of calling it "Catapult", you can call it "Oil Panic". (Some of you may know what I'm talking about):D

Any thoughts? Please forgive me if you think this deviates too much from the original topic.

Catapult was too complicated, so is this.

1. What defines a 'catch'? You're a half a millimeter off, you're dead.
2. The visual tank mods. Not really gonna work. Cause FPS drops, lag.
3. Big Bullet? Been discussed, not working.
4. Can't shoot while holding this flag.

I just think that its way too complicated for a single flag. IIRC, the 'catching shots' has been discussed and denied. As has barrel-tilting. I believe that both of these flags would not work in-game.
Games don't make people violent, lag does.

This is true. But this also depends on the amount of shots fired and the distance from which they are fired. GM is easy to dodge as are alot of other things. Just a new a creative idea I suppose.
