Remember Me?

Post by Spazzy McGee »

For some reason this new board doesn't remember me when i check the 'Remember me' box when I log in. does anybody else experience this?
is it just teething trouble?

The Forums (they were moved last night/today depending on your timezone) are also not changing threads to "read" after you read them. I have PMed JeffM2501 about it. I beleive there will probably have to be some config tweaking since they were moved to a new server. Or it may have to do with the fact that the DNS settings for the change have not propigated yet and the redirection to the new server is causing some issues that will clear themselves up with time. :P

Please be patient with these guys, they do a lot of hard work and spend a fair amount of time for BZFlag and they get paid $0 for their efforts.

Thanks for all your effort JeffM2501.

it may help if you blow out your old cookie and get a new one.

remove your cookie and it should save it.

don't use HTML, use bbcode HTML is evil.

we had disabled much of it on the boards before we moved ( like last month )

The "Remember me" function works for me as well.

That might be the problem. You might want to look and see if there is some sort of "cookie blocker" software with your browser.
I'm thinking I need a better sig than this...

i'm just using the old 'bzflag.org. domain name and it all works well and with the cookies. it's only the .bz domain that screws us around.

No user should use the .bz name. it will not work, and is not suposed to work.

it was there when we were moving the domain name. The server we run on realy is .bz, but the board is set to respond and work with .org.

just use .org and you'll be fine.
