in 2.1.x everything that was "experermental" was moved down to "high", most of the "high" stuff was moved to medium, and medium was removed ( it didn't have much difs from low ), and low was left alone. So if you used to run expermental, and don't like the new stuff, just use high.
the new laser is only for the new expermental, and the jagies go away with antialiasing on ( as they do for all geometry ).

Merry Christmas!

2.1.x was started right after 2.0.4 came out. We never planed on a 2.0.6 it just kind of happend.
Experimental will allways give what we feel is the best graphics, but at the cost of requireing better hardware then the normal bzflag system requirements.
For experimental you'll want a somewhat modern Video card that does hardware T&L, something like a GeForce FX 5700 or ATI Radeon 9000 or better.
a good GeForce 6800 or radeon X800 will do the best tho.
basicly stuff that's been around for a year or so.
you can try to run experemental on any card, it just may run slower then hell

Wait a minute... coherent light? That means all the light goes straight out the barrel - we shouldn't be able to see the beam at all
The reason it looks 'choppy' is because he used entirely polygons. The ones on the outer 'glow' abruptly change color. How about something like Gourald to make the 'glow' look more natural? But I like the really sharp center main beam - and the rounded turns look AWESOME! Did anyone look at the muzzle of the tank?
