I recently got a copy of windows server 2003, and my question is:
When I use this for SolarFlare, will I be able to have more flags, or is this a general limit for all windows builds?
Im not 100% sure, but I know when keiths game was popular, they had a windows server with more than 10 flags, and more than 20 people.
I am assuming that this is becuase they are running off of a Windows server platform ?
thanks.

2003 will allow more conections ( players )
there has never been a flag limit on windows.
if your server had one, then it was ether a bandwith limit or some other problem on the system.
you assume far far to much

the flag amount seemed to have a effect on the player limit.

It seemed to do it to me too. I don't host a server anymore.

then you were probably flooding out your connection. flags do take more bandwith since the status of each has to be sent to each client.
