Hi guys,
as I was only oberser I could see that the teamleaders see the Nickname of every player in the field highlighted above the position of the player.
That is a big advantage If you know where every player is.
You don't nee the Radar anymore. See Player behind walls etc.
Is it a feature for everyone or is it cheating ?
see you

That is a feature of Observer, has nothing to do with who you are following. You can see it in roaming mode too. l is the key that turns it on and off.

For observers, this is a feature. If you were to have this while playing, it would be cheating.buckrogers wrote:Is it a feature for everyone or is it cheating ?
Yes,i suppose it would be the bz version of chams, but it's only an observer feature so dont go accusing people of cheating if you see other peoples names while observing, and uhh one thing, hit f7 to change who you're following,i doubt you knew that and if you did, then you'd believe everyone was cheating Anyway it's an observer feature, observers can't see EVERYTHING the person they're observing see's,as in if the person you're observing zooms in with binoculars, you wont see that.
Try to look unimportant, they may be low on ammo
Teamwork is essential,it gives them other people to shoot at.

I guess so, but you can always press your identify key (Right Mouse or "i" with default settings) to view a player, and players appear on radar also. I think that only against ST would this be considered "cheating".
Of course, I may be wrong.

dont abuse those advantages when you are in observer mode.. and tell a player where are ST's or other player! DONTbuckrogers wrote: You don't nee the Radar anymore. See Player behind walls etc.

This helps to get a better overview:buckrogers wrote:I guess it was a good player which has got a good overview and used the radar much.
"u" highlights a certain tank on your radar.
"7" adds further highlighted tanks.

I'm not sure if it's considered cheating, but a tactic I like is to hunt everyone, using the 7 key, on non-radar maps. Hunting can also be helpful to know where specific players are (like I hunt Ratfink when he plays to know where he is). Also you can hit F8 to change view modes in observer (i.e. switch from Roaming to Following or Driving with a player)
Not cheating and actually it is something I use quite frequently. In fact I would like a key to set auto-hunt so I don't have to hunt everyone as they join.
