Because of my incompetence in creating polygon meshes and lifelike image textures, and considering the many maps within pages 3-27 that are overcomplicated masses of box and pyramid (mostly by map newbs that have to use everything BZEdit has to offer), I decided to move to the opposite of the spectrum.
The result: Platforms.
The map is mainly based on a similar map, which was very fun (and unnamed, so I cannot give you credit). There are two versions, one without flags, and one with flags. I tried to make this a tactical learning experience. So far, it teaches jumping skills (including whether to jump at all), when to pick up flags, and why you shouldn't constantly search for a better flag (teaching that fact in more than one way). The only limitation is the small map size, which can only hold 6 people at a time (comfortably).
You can find the map at "sqrt.homelinux.org:5154", on a good day (I shut the server down at midnight, and turn it back on whenever I feel like it). Please tell me what you think.
