GM Tower

Post by that exploding tank »

Here's a map that I made largely using iBZEdit and hand coding. I'm working on getting it hosted, but I would like to see what you all think about it. Since I'm not on my computer at home right now, I can't post screenies, but here is the map file:

Thx for the screenshot R3laX

Looking good that exploding tank! :) Are those blocks leading up to each base right above one another? My other question is will there be any superflags? I can't really see what those bases are like from the screenshot but it looks like a fortress. Can't wait till you find a hoster :) Please make it someone in the US :P

Ah, excellent... even if it's just a small thing, the US has a good reputation among foreigners for its BZFlag servers. :-D

Yes, there will be many GM flags, of course, as well as many L and WG flags. I don't think there will be any bad flags. And yes, it will be hosted in the US.

Those errors were part of the mesh code in the map file, but they do not hinder gameplay.

To all
There is a slight bump between the top mesh on each side and the box it touches. You can get off of the mesh onto the box, but not the other way around without jumping. Optic Delusion and I are working on that and will hope to fix it (someday soon...)

Try lowering the mesh about 0.001. You'll still be able to drive to the normal block even with default settings, and that way you'll be able to drop that small mili-bit on to the mesh from the block. It's cheap, but it works for now.

Seems to be a lot of blocks to climb, but looks pretty good. 8)
