There's one behaviour I've noticed that the tk provisions don't cover. As a case example, a while back I was carrying the enemy flag on the final run to my team's base. I had carried it all the way from the enemy base, but was being chased by a persistant enemy tank. I passed a friendly tank that w...

Ok here's the deal: If you've been to my server the past few days you probably noticed I have a Trash-Talking Script set up. If any of you want to submit insults, /report them. I can also add them 'live' without a server restart. Just don't post them here, JeffM might piss himself or something. (I ...

I suppose you could make everything one big group and raise it with shift. This map would be great! You should dramatically lower traction... Yea, ok, it's gonna get worked on real soon. I like the set idea, and the team idea. But if I start a server, I won't trust a gui, personnaly. But that's just me. Same here. But I was thinking of doing it for newbies, so they wouldn't have so many 'how do i set up a server' questions. Of course, if you make it possible for idiots to administe...

Re: Testing a server

Hi, I'm really new in map making, and I don't know how I can test my maps (made with bzedit32). I think they're not bad done (mostly the one named ''Debut CTF R-B'') and I'd like to test them to see if theyre are any problems and to set the map settings. Thank you in advance to tell me how do I tes...

Move the day backward (-) and see the reflection move, move it forward (+) and see it move, and move into night...

You can adjust sound levels in alsa from a terminal using 'alsamixer'. I quite like that too. My xmms uses the OSS to Alsa bridge.

Re: simple variable question

On some servers I've seen some very nice settings for the otherwise useless Machine Gun flag - the shot velocity is up, and the range has been increased. From the web I can't find out what the variables are that control these - I'd like to set some defaults in a map file I'm writing. Could someone ...

the sound card works fine normally, xmms works great, vmware also has sound that works in gues systems. I don't know what arts is, or icewm. ps ax | grep arts or ps ax | grep artsd See if its running, if it is, do: -15 <pid id> Also, if vmware is running, that will take up the soundcard.

Hi, thanks for reading into my topic. I just installed BZflag from source using bzflag-2.0.4.20050930.tar.bz2 Install went fine, no problems, game runs except for one thing, the sound does not work right. When the sound plays, it seems as its really slow, and scratchy. SO i went into the sound sett...

I think its a horrible idea to get rid of player scores. In order to know if you are in a position to make a run for the flag you need a way of ensuring that there's a player with a high score that can cover you. Or do most of you just tell your team to all make a run for the flag at the same time ...
