Hi, my name is donny (name changed to protect the innocent, really).... I remember my first taste of BZFlag 2 years ago. At first it (I) wasn't very good... and then all of the sudden I found myself playing 2 or 3 times a day, 7 days a week... I started planning my days around my BZFlag time... I got my kids addicted...

I play BZFlag because it actually makes my computer use its potential, but then my computer overheats because Dell sucks at designing things, and then BZflag gets 0-1 FPS. And then I have to cry myself to sleep.
Oh wait, I realize! I can turn my processor speed down! And no more overheating!
And then BZFlag was enjoyed by all! With no frame drops!
Oh yeah, and it's fun, and some of my friends now play it.

I don't have to plunk down $50 for it.
Gameplay is fast and simple.
It gives me a real adrenaline buzz if I get into it.
Free time is hard to come by, and BZ does not require a serious time commitment like Civilization, etc.
Also, it's a great game to play at work in your 4-man office on a router that you can disconnect from the internet so the network nazis don't get wise. That was the origin of my addiction

I play it because it's a stress reliever.............sometimes.
No, really, I'm addicted, and it's fun. You don't have to remember much strategy, weapons, or other things, you can just get out there and play.
