Error for compiled 2.1.x: zlib1.dll

Error for compiled 2.1.x: zlib1.dll

Recently when compiling and running 2.1.x(release), I've been getting this error when trying to launch the executable:

"bzflag.exe - Ordinal Not Found"
"The ordinal 55 could not be located in the dynamic link library zlib1.dll"

I have got zlib1.dll installed, and I've tried changing versions from 1.2.3 to 1.2.1, but all of 'em still get the same error, could someone please help?
Could this tank perhaps go a little bit faster, so it's not being overtaken by stationary objects.

your zlib is old, make sure you have the current one.
