Pyramids by Cedric is presently being hosted. I suggest taking a long look at this map. And get a guide if you have a chance.

IMHO, this map would make an excellent Rabbit Run map. It does have some possible camper problems, because of several of the tight transporters, and wide open spaces. After playing for an hour or so last night, I did not notice a dominating camper. This is probably becase the map is very, very large/tall, and transporters are within easy reach. Stealth tanks will rule this map, with its multiple rooms, hiding spots, and just overall size.

This was a nice change in symmetrical map making, adding asymmentrical interiors, without losing the overal effect. It also carries the pyramid theme out very well, with hidden chambers and various crypts.

Congrats to Cedric.

I give this map a 4.5 out of 5 on the KOBA scale.

There was a similar map a few months ago.... I have forgotten what it was called. But it had a lot of those hollow pyramids up in the air... pretty awesome stuph.

I am partial to the complex maps. Hence, each player should adjust his/her tastes to the KOBA scale.

I have attributed this map to Cedric, but if there is another author, he/she should get credit. There was a lot of work here.

May I suggest that you should go over to turkey.moongroup and check out the map there?

I have gone there. What is the map name? I have also read in the back posts, that you have another "better" map on the launching pad" I would like to see that one as well, if possible.

Well... your desire to see the map has given me some inspiration to continue working on it. Hehehe. I'll toss a copy up on the board once I've finished it.

The map is like "The secret of the Pharaon"
I Think with more space outside the pyramid (no in the ground floor) will be good..the people can fight outside up and down with tps(now there isnt a lot space to jump)
more chambers "secret" to find your enemy in different levels....the only problem i can see ..........yuo need spend time a lot time to find the treasure.

Hehe SGI. I've also noticed that the "steps" up the sides of the pyramid are rather steep. Sometimes they're tough to jump when you're in a hurry.

But if you have enough space ...you can fight in the steps too.

I thought of the steps as ST drop down points. They are steep, and if the map were to be improved this along with the "one way up" issue should be looked at.

ive been talking to cedric and we decided we need about 2 or 3 more admins for the map. anyone up for it? i was going to ask Capn but i havent seen so much lately.

I'd be glad to help out. I play mostly late at night (after 3am eastern time) and there is usually a lack of admins on most servers at that time.

legolas im not sure u r old enough to be an admin but since i know u i will give ya the chance.

if u caught someone cheatin first find their ip (/playerlist) then kick them later send me the ip and if they cheated before Iwill ban them. if they come back and cheat more then ya can ban them.

if they have a mouth like myself give them about 3 chances then kick them if they come back and continue to swear ban them.(send me the ip for players u ban)please dont consider words like dam,crap,hell,exceptional or words bleeped out like F***.

list of admins i know so far are
davisnow, Cedric, blast, oman, Carnage, and maybe some others.

PS. big big big problem i better tell u know, dave, and cedric do cheat on the server, but for the moment i got them to stop.
so i dont think u should ban them. and if they do continue to cheat do a /superkill that ushually stops them.


so with my PS i mind would u still consider becommin admins?

I'll still do it. I love the map and want to play on it more, but there are usually a bunch of *********** or laggers (400+) on.

Alright,sounds good to me,but the swears that aren't counted as one. So I should right down the ip when I kick someone then send you it?

Oh,about the age,Oman is 10 years old,so I'd think I'd be old enough.

You can change exceptional with shot.........less smell

legolas legolas legolas i spent 5 minutes fighting with cedric and finally he gave in (HeHe).

unfortunally these positions are Temporally because of a certain admin saying "i wont be admin unless there r 3 of them" but oh well not to many people like him.
im sure i can argue with cedric to let u 2 admin for along time.

unfortunally merry the admin possitions have been filled, i wuold try to get u in but i was going out on a lim trying to get legolas to be admin and i dont think i can go any further.
