hello and i recently noticed that different os's have different reaction times when u hold down the tab button. i have gone from Windows XP Pro to SuSE 10 and realized that SuSE has less of a delay before it repetidly preses tab, maybe there should be sumthing dont about that because it could be another thing like mouse enhancements or whatever

You can change that setting in the system preferences of any half-decent OS...

CBG, yes, but many people do not know how to do this.

Matt?,

I have noticed this aswell. maybe it will be fixed in the 2.2 series.

What is to fix? It has nothing to do with bzflag. It is an OS Preference.
Did you even read what I said?

This would be impossible to "fix" - the OS captures key inputs therefore it is an OS option (unless the OS is so bad it doesn't have that option, but I believe Windows XP does ;) ).

There could be some sort of check to where the game doesn't recognize a *jump* button pressing until the jump is mostly done (the going upward part, perhaps?) That way, the game helps you get the most out of your wing flaps.

Then again, this could be another way to encourage people to use linux.
