I have tried adding this in the conf, map file, everywhere!

my server will load all other flags, just not geno!

I added this to the conf and map:

+f G{3} ( that was right from the conf builder)

im stumped.

thanks,
-Win Xp

whoo you have lots of problems with your server with SZs and every thing-
you could try using the new version of BZFS...

Try JUST doing +f G{5}.

Then load the map... etc.

What about 2.0.4? Could be a Windows/2.0.5 bug...

You can see it by editing/quoting me. :P

Well, that means it's something to do with Windows on 2.0.3-2.0.5. :|

That's weird, Win. My Genocide flag always works. I don't think it works on Rabbit Hunt anymore...

Geno does work in RH, DW.

I have WAY too many flags on my RH server (the conf file was recycled from a bigger map) and I have fixed the problem for the next restart, BUT here's the results of /flag show

Code: Select all

[SERVER->] #0   i:A   p:-1  r:1  g:4  s:1  p:{276.0, -202.0, 0.0}
[SERVER->] #1   i:A   p:-1  r:1  g:3  s:1  p:{-121.5, -215.4, 0.0}
[SERVER->] #2   i:A   p:-1  r:1  g:3  s:1  p:{-58.5, 284.2, 0.0}
[SERVER->] #3   i:A   p:-1  r:1  g:3  s:1  p:{-22.7, 355.2, 10.0}
snip
[SERVER->] #35  i:F   p:-1  r:1  g:1  s:1  p:{76.4, -27.0, 20.2}

[SERVER->] #224 i:WG  p:-1  r:1  g:1  s:1  p:{206.7, -69.5, 0.0}
[SERVER->] #225 i:WG  p:-1  r:1  g:4  s:1  p:{98.2, 299.0, 0.0}
Notice there are no G flags here.

the line in the conf for geno is good
+f G{7} # G - Genocide

I'm on OSX so this is not (one of the many) Windows bugs - something else is going on here. If WinXP is right that having only geno in the conf also results in no geno flags, it is a real bug.

I just got RougeGeno plugin working - so I also want a fix.

it almost seems the server isn't reconizing the flag type becuase when I type this:

Code: Select all

/flag give "Win Xp" G
I get this:

Code: Select all

bad flag type

from #bzflag

Code: Select all

bryjen hmm, are you specifing -mp ?
a_temp_dist  -mp 10,0,0,0,3 (or so)
bryjen 10 rogues and 3 observers? no colored tanks?
trepan       10 rogues, 3 purple?
a_temp_dist needed one more zero - three obsc
a_temp_dist  obsv
a_temp_dist it's a RH, but i want to use rougeGeno
bryjen bzfs won't allow G flags without colored tanks.
trepan look for 'forbidden.insert(Flags::Genocide)' in bzfs/CmdLineOptions.cxx
bryjen       a-yup
a_temp_dist ok - I'll even out the teams then - thx
So you can't have only rouge tanks if you want to use G
