Are you Mac, Windows, or Linux?
I'd be glad to help, but only if your MAC.

Is it the same for Windows and for Mac to make a server?

mostly

The conf file is exactly the same on all computers. The programs you use to work with the conf are different.
This is something a freind of mine, SirPants, made. He made it for windows, then added the mac part at my request. Hope it helps.

My experience is 100 percent mac. As far as I'm concerned, any computer running windows should be sent to the recycling center, NOW!

You should fill out your profile, How old are you, exactly?

I'm 14 1/2 year old.

Euh, what mean fill out my profile

old enough

See just below any post you make, theres a little box that says profile.
It doesn't hurt if you put a little more info in there.

In the U.S.A. it's illegal to have you here if you are under 13 Y.O.

What do you think?

It looks like you have not downloaded SirPants help file.
Please do so, above. There's lots of good stuff in there.

There is not much else here either.
I'll have to find it in your other posts.

Your map seems OK.
Can you post your conf?
It'll allow me to see exctly where you are, and where you should go.

Ok.
Sorry, I didn't red your file...

Here is my conf file

I had already done what was written in your file.
I can go on my own server, but how to make it be public... I don't know

I have alos made a help guide for making servers, but its really for Mac only.
However, in it, I explain how to make a server public.
Here is the relevant bit, although it is a little bit out of context...
To get the server running PUBLICALLY you need to edit the following things in the conf file:

i. Change "# -p [PORT]" to "-p PORT" where "PORT" is the port you have open on your router and/or firewall. For help with this, see http://www.PortForward.com

ii. Change "# -publicaddr address[:port]" to "-publicaddr YOUR-IP/DOMAIN:PORT" where "YOUR-IP/DOMAIN" is either you'r external IP or the URL you have pointing to it. For help pointing an url to your Ip, see http://www.dyndns.org or http://www.no-ip.com.

iii. Change "# -public * Yay. I got my server on the public list!" to "-public YOURMESSAGE" where YOURMESSAGE is what you want to appear next to your IP/URL on thepublic server list.

iv. If the above 3 things still don't get you on the list, you may be behind some kind of proxy. To solve this, change "# -publiclist http://my.BZFlag.org:81/db/" to "-publiclist http://my.BZFlag.org:81/db/".
The rest of the info is at http://my.bzflag.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=3940
Hope that helps.:)

There are four debug levels, you must use exactly one of them. Uncomment the single -d --remove the #

otherwise it looks ok for a private server

Going public is another entire set of problems, right now I'll have to say I'll get back to you. But you must enter your IP into the conf.

and next time you post your conf. be sure to remove your password.

A-Delusion, could you help me for a server on a mac?

Me and CBG are a team.

CBG and I work together. we will help you. Just slow down.

Your not giving us enough or correct information.
First it's windows, now it's mac.
I can tell you're more confused now than when you started.
Making a server public is not something that should be taken lightly, it's a big step!
I suggest you study what you have, for awhile.
Read alot more, make some decisions, then make another post.
We will be waiting for you.

Deulsion: That is true... but you know what they say: You can't cross a chasm in two small jumps... ;)
Okay - ignore that. Do what delusion said.
Also, download my Mac Guide. It is specific for Mac so everything in there will be relevant to you. :)

I've set up a Windows and Mac server and know how to do it on both.
(BASH on windows too... but not on mac, I use tcsh for mac)

I've red your mac guide. The server is running.

in the terminal ,it's written:
"Running a public server with the following settings:
public address is hey:5154
LIBCURL: libcurl/7.13.1 OpenSSL/0.9.7b zlib/1.2.2
CURLOPT_FILETIME error: 2
curl_easy_perform() error: 28
Loaded master ban list from http://bzflag.org/master-bans.txt
listening on 0.0.0.0:5154
with title of "I got my server on the public list""

So does it mean my server is now public?

In the list of servers, its written my-conputer-name.lan
I don'tt find my server in the public list.

The listserver

Until you see this at the end of your terminal, its not public.

Player [0] accept() from 69.28.129.166:41626 on 7

This is the listservers signing on and gathering info about your server.
Another way to check is to open your BZFlag client and read the server list

This....copied from your post...isn't a very bad problem. The server should run despite it.
CURLOPT_FILETIME error: 2
curl_easy_perform() error: 28
