Laptop keymapping for the Function keys

Post by EbErT »

I recently bought a laptop and have discovered some limitations to its keyboard. It is missing some of the keys that are on a standard keyboard, and these keys have been moved over to the function keys:F1-F11. Controls like brightness and volume have been put on the them. I looked on the "change keymapping" settings on bzflag, but found no place to change which keys controlled these commands (observer commands like change player, screenshot, others). Is there infact a place I haven't looked or another way to change where these keys are? I would be just fine with putting them over keys 6 thru 0, or something of the sort.
Thanks in advance for your responses

I am guessing you have an iBook. If this is the case, try pressing the "fn" button in conjunction with the F1 and F12 keys, etc. :)

So i guess I don't have to figure out how to map the keys after all... Thanks a bunch for your insightful reply, CBG.

No problem, I had the same issue when I first started using my iBook back in Feburary.
Btw: Good choice. ;)
