Hope this can answer some of the questions.
1) if you want a sig pict, please make sure it's not too huge. General rules of thumb, if the sig it's biger then most of your posts, it's may just be too large. Or if it's larger then your head, probalby want to to tone it down ( this rule works for so many things in life
). Some peole are on dialup, so we don't want to kill them, rembeber you used to be on dialup too 2) To put a sig pict in your posts just put a bbcode<b> [img]http://where.ever/my/image/is/sigpict.jpg[/img]</b> in your signiture section in your profile ( there is a link to your profile at the top of every page ), and bam you got a sig pict.
3) Don't use stuff like BMP, TGA, or any of the funky formats. GIF, PNG, or jpeg are the standards for browsers. I don't think the board will allow flash as an imbeded object, but animated giffs do work fine. I like PNG cus it has compresion with out any real loss of image quality. If you can't get an image into one of those formats, let me know and I can help you.
4) Don't host your image on anglefire, geocities ,yahoo, or tripod. Those services don't work if you directly link to an image. They only let you link to HTML pages. And well they generaly suck. If you need hosting for a sig pict, just let me know ether by PM (private message), or email, and I will gladly host the file for you, just sent to me, and can ether send you back a URL, or just put it into your profile.
5) Please don't put anything realy vulgar or ofensive. We don't realy want to piss people off here.
I like sig picts, I think they add a nice touch to a message, as long as they arn't too over the top.
