Since I am having difficulties hosting this map on my WinXP computer... ;)
I'll just stick this up here and hope somone will pick it up... It uses no 2.0 features and just takes advantage of the server vars. and the wings flag, in fact it was made under a minute :). This idea came after having dogfights with players on Thumper's server :) It has been catching a lot of players and you may have already played on it. Enjoy.

***EDIT***
Updated map here... (I am no longer experiencing difficulties with bzfs. but with bandwith, etc. :) )
I have been experimenting with somethings in the map.. so there may be commented and useless things.. Enjoy.

This is a great map.. I would advise any but all of the Server owners out there just to give it a try for atleast a day or 2. He had atleast 10 people that time I was there. I've gone there about 5 times myself and played and get some skills with the wings flag.. GM was fun to.. Not to mention when I took over the pyramid and said it was mine then got attacked by 5 flying tanks

Good times good time

Hm...I played it someware, it was really fun.

I was headign for the high score but the server just stoped. Everybody stoped responding, I was at like 10000, and like exceptional! Typed "wjat happened" and it was gone!

Well, I asume it's gone for good so I'm putting it probably today. 1veedo.homelinux.com:5154

PS: Tell me how to track high scores. Or I assume it's in the zip? Oh well, I'll find out.
. He had atleast 10 people that time I was there.
10 players is the most I can host anyway. I may make it 8 because it's "airial," but I'll see how 10 goes first. It might not be very laggy, but if it is I assume it woud seem worse in the air.

Nader, were you the one that said my open warehouse map sucked !?? Lol, :lol-old:. Maybe I wont host it :evil:

Hey, just a tip, you only need your map file to have things like "Readme" and "options". Tag a couple comments at the top, adn add

Code: Select all

options
+f WG{36}
+f GM{7}
+f SW{7}
-f bad
-f good
-j
-lagwarn 500
-maxidle 300
-mp 10,0,0,0,0,4
-ms 5
+r
-spamtime 10
-spamwarn 3
-st 5
-sw 1

-set _skyColor deepSkyBlue4 #I added this, I hate the default skyColor..hurts eyes
-set _mirror black
-set _rainType rain
-set _wingsJumpCount 25
-set _gravity -7.5
-set _gMissleAdLife 1
-set _shockOutRadius 120
-set _shockAdLife 1
-set _shotsKeepVerticalVelocity 1

-srvmsg "Welcome to * Aerial Dogfight * by nader @ 1veedo.homelinux.com"
-srvmsg "See '/help' for more information"
-srvmsg "====================================================================="

end
That takes the place of your config and vars file.
