All of the languages are available when you install the latest bzflag.
You can pick a language when you run bzflag like this
bzflag -locale de
// run in german
bzflag -locale en_US-l33t
// run in l33t
etc, etc

i can translate to russian and estonian, if you want to
Re: Language Translators Wanted
First of all, this thread was from 2003... We also already have a Russian translation in the SVN trunk development code. If you wish to improve it, make sure you use the SVN trunk version of the game.
Re: Language Translators Wanted
I'm able to translate it to polish.

Re: Language Translators Wanted
So do you still want help or not? I am confused. Would you like people to write new files and send them to you?

Re: Language Translators Wanted
No, I do not want people to send them to me. They would submit them to the SF.net project page - probably to the patches section.
And yes, if someone wants to write a new translation, they can certainly do that. I was thinking that the wiki page would make that obvious.

Re: Language Translators Wanted / Swedish
If someone sends me the necessary files, i can translate them into Swedish.
Re: Language Translators Wanted
Sends you the necessary files? You can already go get them. The language files are in the data directory of the game (both the binary client, and the source code) along with a file that says what to do. I'd recommend you use trunk SVN code as it supports unicode characters.

Re: Language Translators Wanted
What are single byte languages?
Re: Language Translators Wanted
The first post that mentions single byte characters is from 2003. Version 3.0.0 of the game will support Unicode characters, so that limitation no longer applies. More information here:
