Help remembering old map

Post by Pesky_UK »

Help with an old (probably long gone) map. There use to be a map that featured a long bridge, two teams and CTF play. I *think* it was one of Loumans but not 100% certain. Ring any bells?

Stone bridge and you could hop over the bridge wall to a ledge that ran the full length of the bridge.

Answer found via the telegram group: A*A Bridge Crossing hosted by Benfish.

I see most of his other maps are still hosted elsewhere but not this one unfortunately.

No radar. Shots keep vertical velocity.

The memories.

It sounds similar to Channel Crossing.

But it may be the following map:

Nah, it's A*A Bridge Crossing by Teppic. Three images of it can be found in the Map Gallery section.

I tried sending Teppic a message but it got stuck in outbox.

Looks as if the map will remain a distant memory.

That is sad, I loved that map. It's unfortunate there isn't some sort of artifactory people could publish maps to.

Sadly the thread in map releases, does not contain the map itself.

Thread for: A*A Bridge Crossing Map

If we had license info, even a /saveworld could be used. (If license permitted it.)

AFAIK Teppic never uploaded his images to bzflag.org. So even if you had the maop, you'd still need the images.
I don't have that map, but the teppic maps that I do have, have images from this location that no longer exists.

Take a look at my Defender game mode concept.

Thinking is not an automatic process. A man can choose to think or to let his mind stagnate, or he can choose actively to turn against his intelligence, to evade his knowledge, to subvert his reason. If he refuses to think, he courts disaster: he cannot with impunity reject his means of perceiving reality.
