Hi,
I was trying to install my own public list by using the SVN files avaidable on sourceforge, I uploaded them and changed my bzaddict server address to maxhostpro.com/bzfls.php and on my bzflag shortcut on my desktop I put -list http://www.maxhostpro.com/bzfls.php but it failed to search for any servers, it just kept saying searching so, I removed the -public list command and I removed the -list command on my bzflag shortcut on my desktop but now when I go on find servers it just keeps saying searching or can't talk with list server, I reinstalled bzflag same problem, I went on my.bzflag.org/db, works fine; I can list servers by going to that address on my browser. My anti virus is not blocking network connections from bzflag so why is this happening?
Thanks In Advance

Re: Public List Doesn't Search
Try to run your BZFlag with -list http://my.bzflag.org/db/ once to change the list server back.
To figure how to set up your own list server, the BZWiki is a good source (as ever): http://my.bzflag.org/w/Private_List_Server

Re: Public List Doesn't Search
You can also run the game with -list default and it will reset the list back to the built-in default setting (which is the same as what Cobra_Fast wrote out). When you use the -list option, it stores the list specified in your configuration file. So even if you take out the -list option it will continue to use the previously specified list.
Running your own list is only useful if you intend to run your own servers that also use that list. Also note that nobody else using the normal list will be able to see your servers then. So, generally, there is no reason to run your own list.
