BZEdit 1.6.3 Beta

Post by Grumbler »

This is a beta release of BZEdit, I call it a beta because it does not handle the world size properly. Since my schedule is becoming busy, I thought I would at least post this so that many of the base, shootthrough/drivethrough/flipz bugs can be fixed.

Grumbler, I downloaded the other day, got a chance to install last night and try it out. When I try to start it, I get:
This application has failed to start because MFC71.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

I installed it right over 1.62. No big deal, I can always download 62 again if I want. Just need to know what this missing DLL is, and since I specified a different install directory, could that have caused a bad install?

grrrr, i what a pain. This is not supposed to occur when building the release version, but it looks like it is. You are not the first, but i thought I had fixed that. sry.

i will try and look tomorrow.

fyi, others who have had this problem downloaded the mfc71.dll off the web......in case you are in a rush.

Grumber that's not a debug/release issue, it's a link issue

The project is set to use the multithreaded DLL libs, change it to use the multithreaded static libs, then it will link the runtimes in staticly.

I'll wait, no rush. I'm working on a map that's more complicated than I want to do by hand editing, and i already have some drive/shoot through things in it. Again, no rush. Heck, it took me a week between download and test time. :)

And thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you mean 1.6.3 beta? If so, the file was posted in the first message.

Hey it works great Grumbler, you just have to add these 2 dlls to the Windows/system folder to fix it.
