Bubble Shield

Take the shield flag and make it a bubble surrounding the tank. Large enough to fit about 2-4 tanks+flag-toter. Then make the shield impervious to everything but SB, SW and Laser. Then make it so the shield only fails when the host tank dies. All tanks can move in and out of the bubble...it only stops bullets and missiles. This would make teamwork much more involved, instead of everyone just rushing the base.

Hmmm your kind of stretching the shield flag and making a way to confusing combination.

I like the idea, but I would add that the shield flag should take multiple hits before failing. Or even better, make it last a certain amount of time, it is impervious, but you can't fire you gun while the shield is nor can you drop the flag. Essentially, you become a moving wall to protect your team mates.

I have seen several flag suggestion sites and the modified shield flag is allways rejeceted. It would be nice to see some change to it in bzflag 3.
