Do not use -publiclist unless you want to use a different list server. That is one reason that your server is not on the official list.

You also want a -lagdrop of something like 5, and a -lagwarn of around 300 or 400. lagdrop controls how many lag warnings a user receives before they are kicked. lagwarn controls the warning threshold to warn the user about. The same goes for your jitterwarn/jitterdrop stuff, and the packetlosswarn/drop.

Add either -d or -dd to the config as well, so you get some debug output.

And last, I would recommend using a hostname from something like DynDNS.org and an updater client, and then use that name for your publicaddr. If your IP changes a lot, this can prevent you from having to constantly update your config files.

don't use -publiclist. Just get rid of it. It will chose the default list server, the main one.

Thats just a local server. Only you can see it.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I belive thats your external I.P. I think you need to put your real I.P. (or whatever you call it) so other people can connect to you. Sience I don't host servers, I don't really know a way to find mine besides opening up command prompt and typing

Code: Select all

ipconfig /all
Take your I.P. and simply use that.

And by the way, it first didn't start because....

You do want the external IP address for the -publicaddr. An ipconfig will only show the internal IP address.

Assuming your proper ports are open, can you connect to your server at 65.40.228.216 port 5154 ? And while I'm not an expert on firewalls, do you have it so that BZFS has unblocked access to the interweb?

You need a space after -publicaddr, and you don't have a valid -mp setting. If that still doesn't work, it's probably a network misconfiguration, or your ISP blocking you from hosting.

Well then, fix what you broke for the -publicaddr. Maybe you shouldn't be running a server if you can barely use CLI parameters?
