FPS issues

Post by plasma kaz »

heya,

I'm having some trouble with my fps on bzflag..

When i press "t" the fps is ALWAYS at 30... as if it never updates..

this has never been a problem for me.. my fps is usually at 50-70.. and always updating.

and also, is there any other way to raise it?

if you need any info on my computer for some reason here are the basics..

comp: Dell, Inspiron 6000 Notebook
OS: Windows XP
BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A09
Processor: Intel(r) Pentim(R) M Processor 1.73 GHz
Memory: 504 MB RAM :D

You may have turned "Energy Saving" on in the options (possible Display Settings).

It limits the FPS, yes.
The default limit value us 30 FPS. This can be changed through:

Code: Select all

because most people can't see more then 40-60 fps, so there is no point in having the computer calculate more. It saves a lot of power and heat on laptops.
