Interesting that you chose the two tank-colors which are NOT used in guleague.
The white parts around the tank are there because you extracted that image from a gif-animation. gif-format has no alpha-channel, so when it tries to anti-aliase the image's edges you get white pixels. A way to get rid of them would be to either give the layer a white outer shine (thats lame, I know ), paint them black or select the layer, decrease the selection's size with 1px, invert the selection and hit delete.
By the way, this is more of an artwork than a logo. A logo generally has a clear shape, normally not more than three colors and can easily be converted to a vector-image. None of these applies to your image.
