Interesting that you chose the two tank-colors which are NOT used in guleague. ;)

The white parts around the tank are there because you extracted that image from a gif-animation. gif-format has no alpha-channel, so when it tries to anti-aliase the image's edges you get white pixels. A way to get rid of them would be to either give the layer a white outer shine (thats lame, I know :D), paint them black or select the layer, decrease the selection's size with 1px, invert the selection and hit delete.

By the way, this is more of an artwork than a logo. A logo generally has a clear shape, normally not more than three colors and can easily be converted to a vector-image. None of these applies to your image. :)

The font isnt bad, what's its name?

I vote for CBG's.

Ductape...your image isnt very fine tuned and its rather hard edged if you get what Im saying. One other thing is the "GU" on the bottom portion, I would change that to "CTF" or just eliminate it. Make it more like a banner and round everything and you should be in buisness. :)

What does doing it in blender have to do anything...?

You can make almost anything in either piece of software.

Just because it is 3d, doesn't mean your art is going to be any better...The composition is what matters...

Yeah, I cut all the sweet stuff out of that post :p

You can install Photoshop on Linux, it runs pretty well. I've worked for years with that.
