Here's a BZFlag box I drew with rulers for the most part. This was for my art journal at school and is not colored. I'm thinking of making a colored version, but I don't have any ideas for the color.
P. S. Oops... Forgot to attach my DataTraveler where the picture was on before I started Firefox. I'll post the picture in a sec.

BZFlag Box
I haven't touched BZFlag for years, but maybe sometime I'll make a comeback.

The Picture!
Here's the picture. Hope everyone likes it.
P. S. The file's too big and I've shrunk it down a bit. Quality had been degraded. Should have used Picasa.

oh, you have no idea how many times that's been tried. I think the closest anybody ever got to a proper strategy guide was dutchrai's shellshock. The problem seems to be that as times change, the popular strategies in game change along with the popular maps and games. More often than not, there is more than one way to beat or counter things.A Vicious Muffin wrote:Maybe someone should write a book on strategies and info on the game. Good job.
Compare the trends now to how they were a year or so ago....

I know. Tried to measure it with my ruler and protractor but it always reports that the top is correct. I'm currently trying to do it in Blender, see how I turn out with it.

what you do to fix it is line up the line at the top of the cover with the line where the cover and the rest of the box meet...they should be parallel.
edit: you should line every line parallel like they would be in real life. The front 2 lines where it says "BZFlag 2.0.8 (Linux)" should be parallel along with all of the other lines that are opposite of each other (that make up the box) if you know what I mean.

I do know everything, just not all at once. Its a virtual memory problem.

I am having a bit of trouble drawing text parallel to the face of the box, since it's my first time doing it.

the only parallel lines in perspective are vertical lines.
looks like what you are trying to do is 2 point perspective ( with 2 vanishing points ).
you pick 2 points on each side of the object, on the horizon.
all lines go to ether one of those 2 points if they are suposed to go along one of the surfaces.
the gray horizontal line is the horizon.
the other gray lines show the perspective lines used as reference.
the green is your box, as you can see the lines are not parallel, but all converge at the vanishing point. I put the points decently close to exaggerate the effect, the further apart the more flat the objects look.
What you are drawing is what is called Orthographic projection. Where there is no perspective and paralell lines never meet. It's realy only used in technical drawing when you have to be able to measure the drawing. It doesn't look natural, as you can see here.
Try using a very light pencil first to draw your perspective lines, then go over the sections you want to keep with a heavier pencil or pen.
