weird resolution happenings

Post by Ck_asdf »

Recently, bzflag is being weird when I start it up. It appears in the top left 2/3 of the screen, so at the bottom and the right side, there's two big black bars. If I go into the display settings and change it to something different and then back to 1024x768 @ 72Hz 32bits, it'll expand to full screen, but I have to do this every time I open bzflag now.

What's going on with the resolution?

you probably have some bad lines in your config. simplest thing to do is remove your config file and run again ( the "my bzflag files" folder in your my documents folder ).

Thanks for the help - that fixed it.

Also, sorry for using the wrong forum - I'll be more careful next time.

Thanks again! :)

You've to press Save Settings in the Main Menu.

Then, it should work

Usually my settings are saved without needing to press the button - I think that is there only if you have "save on exit" turned off. But the option is on, so every time I exit, my settings are saved (unless it crashes).

I tried that, anyway - set the resolution, saved settings, exit, restart the game, still wrong. However, as I said above, I fixed it with Jeff's help. ^_^
