3rd person
3rd person
Hello i like this game because it's a mp game with known mp modes and it's played by alternative OS'es:
dm, ctf, 4 way ctf, ... but i would like to be able to play in 3rd person mode just like when you spectate (observer). I asked on a lot of servers which i play reguarly and they said i cannot play in 3rd person which is a shame because this game would perfectly lend itself to that. It doesn't need the precision of a true fps imho. I would play as good in 3rd person as in 1. Probably beter because in 3rd person u can see shots fired at you more quickly if offcorse u don't rely a lot on the radar Please this would be the feature that will keep me hooked on this game. Pleeeaaase give me a 3rd person camera mode

Well technically...
Technically, you are in an unkept room with used junk food wrappers and a PC that consumes all of your time. And with the game, I agree with the idea of keeping first person, but you really could code it to what ever you want. On Ducati, this would change the game entirely.

Yeah, 'cause you can't see bullets behind you now... Oh no!Gnurdux wrote:In my opinion, third person would change the play of the game too much. If you could see bullets behind you, you could jump out of the way.
That radar does not exist - you just imagined it!
Merry Christmas!

Well, not quite...
I often play by the radar(constantly looking at it and not the main window
but it makes me more vulnerable to STs, so Im trying to get off it ) or the window ONLY, not really paying very much attention to what's behind me.
THIS, this is different.
It's like having both in the main veiwing area.

I'm thinking I need a better sig than this...

i believe itd also give some ducati the wrong position. from past experience with 3rd person games, i was able to back up along a wall and see around the corner enough to know which way a person was facing. this gave me the chance to see if he was trying to trick me and move elsewhere, or if he was waiting. if he was the former, id back out and shoot him. if it was the latter, i'd turn and go try to shoot him.
the most difficult thing with 3rd person would be that... someone could see, barely, but could, around the corner of a box in ducati or around a wall in various other types....
no matter, descisions left to the devs. (but considering the age of this topic itself, i would say theyve come to a conclusion)

I think it works with Tiny too.Goodbye2U wrote:There is a slight glitch that allows U to see thru walls. Here's how:
1)Get narrow,
2)Drive up as close as U can to a wall,
3)Make yourself parallel to the wall,
And volia`! Transparent wall!:D
It isn't very much use to me, though.
Although haven't we gone a bit off topic?

It always stays a box, true, But once you know which side of the box the barrel is on, just follow that side, and you'll know where he is facingpyr0 wrote:not on mine, never been able to. the boxes always stayed exactly the same size... even on 2.0.2 when i tried full screen radar for 2 days, i couldnt judge it
