windows server bug

Post by Winny »

I have started my server I noticed thatthis is what woud happen

player:joined from 12.123.123.12
player:left game

this is not them leaving as it happens way too fast and it happens to me sometimes (and it happems to friends too)

BIYA told me to lower flag amout to 10 that seemed to help but I was wondering is there any other way to prevent the bug without lowering the flag amount ? as I like to have a higher amount of flags in my maps.

Thanks

Win Xp
Win Xp is causing your players to be disconnected. I mean Win XP the operating system.

In Win XP Home, there's a connection limit as to how many connections your computer can have at once. Most likely, you're hitting that limit, and therefore Windows is disregarding those player's connections.

"XP Pro allows 10 connections. This limit is installed by default in the metabase key MaxConnections for W3SVC, and there is no user interface method for modifying the setting. You can change this setting to any number less than 40 and it works, but that is not widely advertised." ( http://www.iisanswers.com/IIS51.htm )

That is about Internet Information Server, the World Wide Web (W3) SerViCe, used to serve web pages, not BZFlag.
