error: could not find bzflag configuration file

Post by 1veedo »

Ok, I'm going to sound really stupid for this.
/files/bzfs/conf: error: could not find bzflag configuration file
The file exists and it's the correct user. It was working for a while, actually. I added one line: -helpmsg /files/bzfs/charter charter, and it started doing this. Now if I take it out, no effect. I actually have an interresting story about charter for those of you who've wondered where I went to. :lol-old:

Nader, your maps is going back up. Aerial DogFight.

Could there be any reason that it cant find it? I've tried sending it through /home/azevedo/files (symbolic link). Maybe soem sort of EOF at the beginning?

/files/bzfs/conf.conf: error: could not find bzflag configuration file
I don't know what the problem is, but I dont think it matters waht the file extension is. A lot of configuration files dont end in anything (at least in Linux).

Plus, I know that it worked w/o the .conf in the past.

I'm telling you: It exists! I've already done everything you'd expect a sane person to do, I just dont get it...

Btw, I'm running my server by literally copying the contents of that file into shell.

And no, referencing this file with the .conf still doesn't work. And 2.0 did not require the .conf, if memory serves me. Just like maps don't have to be .bzw...because this is the same configuration file (almost) that I used in a diferent OS install. I moved it to my /files partition before erasing my /home, but that's about it.

Code: Select all

[azevedo@localhost ~]$ bzfs -d -d -d -conf /files/bzfs/conf.conf -world /files/map/bzflag/dogfight/AerialDogfight.bzw
