Happy 30th birthday bzflag

Post by Pesky_UK »

30 years ago, in 1993, the game we love was released to the general public. Even then they had cheaters who influenced the decision to have flags in the game.

Hopefully it will still be here in another 30 years.

HAPPY 30! Somebody needs to bake a cake.
How many of us will even live another thirty?
Take a look at my Defender game mode concept.

Thinking is not an automatic process. A man can choose to think or to let his mind stagnate, or he can choose actively to turn against his intelligence, to evade his knowledge, to subvert his reason. If he refuses to think, he courts disaster: he cannot with impunity reject his means of perceiving reality.

Bz players never die(clearly not true), but mostly they just fade away into oblivion.

Happy 30th birthday and/or Anniversary!

Happy 30th, fellow tankers! We've had many good years blasting each other's tanks into tiny little pieces. Here's to many more! :P

Happy 30 Years!
I'm not a serious gamer and have never had a high-powered machine, but I loved playing bzflag. It was too easy to get drawn in and spend hours in the worlds driving, flying, shooting rabbits, or working in teams. I guess modern commercial games make bzflag look crude, but it will always have a special place in my heart.

Yess!! At work we used to play Bzflags to "Test the Linux Nvidia drivers" on our Dell workstations ;-)

I also remember Cbzone I ported under VAX/VMS. The broken screen when you die is the same on BZ ;-)
