Re: Gaming Gear
Just have a 2008 iMac 20-inch at the moment, will be getting a new 27-inch iMac later this year along with building an actual gaming laptop.
iMac has nothing special but here's draft specs of what I want for laptop, sorry that it's so vague
Case: Honestly not fussed
Mboard: AMD 760G AM3+
Graphics: Radeon 6870 HD (possibly 2 later on)
Power supply: OCZ 600W ModXStream
Processor: Split between i5 3.4 GHz and AMD black edition FX 4 GHz
RAM: Geil (2x8GB) 1866Mhz DDR3
HDD: WD 750GB 16MB 7200 RPM SATA 3Gb/s
Optical: Lenovo or Pioneer, cheap and cheerful
$800 AUD at worst (minus case)
Your thoughts encouraged

What you're describing is not a laptop, it's a desktop...MonsterMan++ wrote:Just have a 2008 iMac 20-inch at the moment, will be getting a new 27-inch iMac later this year along with building an actual gaming laptop.

Re: Gaming Gear
Dell D610 laptop (later replaced by HP Touchsmart tablet)
32" Vizio for a screen
Custom built surround sound
Off-brand wannabe Xbox controller. Worked well, although got better scores playing strictly with keyboard.
Dream setup? Possibly one of them tank simulators like military uses to train their people
