Ideas for developpers... : Second life for hitted tanks...

May be this is not possible, I got no idea of data problems it would involve but I submit this to you :
1 - Touched by one or more bulllets in a row, tank explodes as usual, but...
2 - Tank is no more mouvable and stand still at place it has been touched as often in real. That means, player see only in one line position ! ...and can still shoot !
3 - That easy target will be shot again, sure... and becomes a wreck in real but a [size=18]wall[/size] in bzf...the player becomes observer until flag reset or someone else shoot and destroy this wall which may be defensive for partners or realy boring for opposite team.

If you're talking about not exploding when you get shot, the SH flag does the job. Perhaps you could explain it a bit more clearly?

...well its not a flag.
Just tank having some differents status :
1 - normal
2- hit once stop mouving but still fire
3- hit twice becomes a "wall" and player observer until some events as, flag reset or "wall" destroyed by anyone.
Don't know if this can be worked out. May be this is just strange and not a good idea.

If you get shot again, your turret goes splat
Then, maybe after five seconds you go KABLAMMO!!!
Maybe even add damage to the blast (hehe)

The problem with this is that once you get hit, you're pretty much stuck. You could still fire, but unless you could turn, that would be pretty much worthless. Even with splash damage, so many flags that involve splash damage have been rejected already, so why would this be any different? (Concept-wise)
I don't think it's such a stupid idea at all, just that it probably won't happen.

Hmmm...this does sound too complex. However, maybe if you just froze for five seconds, then couldn't fire, then died five seconds later, that would be better.

It sounds to me like it's straight out of Call of Duty. You get shot, and you have the change to take down your assailant with a pistol with your dying breath.
To be honest this wouldn't really work in BZFlag, since elements of stealth are not as prominent, and much of the time it is a fast paced and consistent game.
Besides, it would be far too complicated.
