He wrote that he has not used BZEdit to create the map file. BZEdit is neither good to preview maps nor to design new maps.Grace F wrote:i didnt see anything, my BZEdit doesnt show textures so everythings black apart from the grid, so from what i saw there wasnt anything unless everything was miniture.
I hope you are now realizing why screenshots are nice. See http://my.bzflag.org/bb/viewtopic.php?p=103828 as bad example how to present new maps.
You can just ask him for a screenshot you know.ts wrote:hope you are now realizing why screenshots are nice. See http://my.bzflag.org/bb/viewtopic.php?p=103828 as bad example how to present new maps.

I read it otherwhise I wouldn't refered to it.Grace F wrote:Plus: That link goes to my thread. Obviously you didnt read it.
People presenting new maps should always attach some nice in-game screenshots. The majority of people don't know how to look at such a file to get an impression about it's contents and even when they know it's quite some work. If people need to ask for a screenshot then the map was not good presented.
Really, if you have time to make a map, you have time to start a server with it, join it, and take an F5 screenie. It's not hard, but it's a bit of a process for those of us who are running a lot now.ts wrote:I read it otherwhise I wouldn't refered to it.Grace F wrote:Plus: That link goes to my thread. I have significantly less time than I used to, I'm working moire at my first job, and now I'm getting a second one.
So please be courteous to those of us with less time on our hands and post screenies.

Get Blender and model a fence in it then export as .obj file then import to wings then export to .obj then drag it to Teppics model tool then put it into your world file.
