! In-Game Authentication Issues !

The forum was upgraded on Sunday, January 17th, 2010. The update seems to have changed something with handling old passwords.

Because of this, some players will not be able to authenticate properly in the game. If you encounter issues, please log in here at the forum. This will convert your password hash to the new format and allow you to once again authenticate in-game. You should only have to log in once.

I am looking into a way to integrate this functionality into the list server itself, but until then the above solution should fix the problem. If you see or know anyone that is having problems, please pass this information along.

Some users are also unable to log into the forum. If you get a message like the following:

It was not possible to convert your password when updating this bulletin board's software. Please request a new password. If you continue to have problems please contact the Board Administrator.

You can try clicking on the "request a new password" link and filling out the form. If the email address tied to your account is no longer valid or you are unable to receive the email, please feel free to contact a forum administrator such as myself. (My email is blast -at- porteighty.org)
