/setgroup does not work if you do not have a userdb. you need to specify a groupdb in order to add anyone to it.

make sure you have -fb in your options, or in the config.
-fb stands for flags on buildings.

Re: How to rotate objects on the x and y axis?
You can rotate arcs, meshboxes, meshpyrs, spheres, cones, and meshes using the 'spin' property. It will not work with normal boxes or pyramids as far as I know. Spin works as such: spin angle nx ny nz where 'angle' is the angle, turning clockwise. nx, ny, and nz are true/false toggles, which change ...

Re: bz steaam
it's just a few vertical mesh planes with the cloud texture and a texture matrix to make the texture move. I think louman also has the planes in the shape of an elongated triangle, or a diamond with one side elongated.

Re: Quick question.
Just google for "BZEdit for windows"- you won't get a virus.
Also, for linux you can use BZFed, or BZEdit, although you will have to compile both. If I recall correctly, BZEdit doesn't compile anymore, so either using BZFed or BZEdit for windows would be your best bet.

to bind noGUI to toggle, just add this line:
iirc, it's case sensitive.
Code: Select all
bind <key> down "toggle noGUI"

The person at fault is the designer of Tricolor, obviously. That pyramid didn't place itself! ;) Sorry for the cliché, but it's just a game. Teamkills happen. When they are intentional it is not okay, but when it is an accident, no one is "at fault," and no one should get angry at the othe...

It looks too bright. Make it less bright. Yay.
The race-to-flag idea sounds fun, but it seems to just be an open map.

Please read http://my.bzflag.org/w/Flag_ideas It has a list of already suggested flags, both rejected and accepted, as well as submission guidelines. If you have an idea, that follows the guidelines, feel free to add it to that. Both of these ideas seem exactly like the flags in the game already. Ac...

These maps seem to never have players, despite being amazing The tuxee rabbit map by cods Overlord Grassroots Tons of maps seem just off the awesome scale, being playable but not interesting, or interesting but not playable. However, those are better than those 5-15 minute rampages in bzedit :p

Config File How-To
Judging by past forum posts, it seems that many people do not know how to edit the config file by hand, or more specifically, the settings and 'tricks' of a config file. I have linked to it many times, but I feel that a separate thread should be dedicated towards it. "It," being the wiki a...

This is pretty much taking the mesh from the map you have up right now, and adding a bunch of random boxes in pyramids in the corners. This is not quality work. This isn't even bad work. It looks like you didn't even try to make a good map. Hell, it doesn't even look like you tried to make a map . P...

it's got nothing to do with whoever the server owner is wasting the resources, and it is your right to be able to join any server, it is not a right ONLY if you're banned from that server, and having high lag is NOT a justifiable reason to ban anyone, especially if their lag is within server laglim...

BZEditWin32 is not under active development, and hasn't been for years.
There is currently a graphical bzw editor under development in the GSoC, called "BZWorkbench," which will be multiplatform.

Hey, since I just noticed that you guys are still fighting over how config files are cheating since not everyone knows how to edit them, why don't you expand the wiki article and refer players to it? Oh, no, that's right. That'd actually solve a problem, and then you guys wouldn't have anything to f...
