It'd be feasible to implement limited ammo with a plug-in, either by the flag method described by Joe-Schmoe, or directly through the API.

A fuel limit could also be done, probably, using distance, time, or a combination thereof. However, you'd only be able to destroy tanks, not immobilize them.

[That is almost correct, although it is important to note that only one of nx, ny, and nz can be 1. The other two must be 0. Nope. nx, ny, and nz are the three components of a unit vector which defines the axis of rotation. While in the vast majority of cases you will have one of these (usually nz)...

You do NOT need faces inside. if you define an inside point, it will soldify the object and do that "shade" effect when someone is inside of it. The points on a face need to be in a counter-clockwise order (when viewed from outside). Presumably it was already drivethrough, since you were a...

There's probably something wrong with your map. Assuming you're using Windows... if you use a shortcut to launch bzfs, the window will go away once the program is done, so if it errors out, it will close immediately. If you want to see the actual error, open the command prompt, go to the appropriate...

Variants of this idea have been discussed many times. L4m3r actually even tried to implement it in 2.0x by using a plugin that messes with shot types: http://my.bzflag.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=7912 The gameplay was a royal mess though. Think of AHOD x10. No one was able to figure out what was going o...

Many ideas similar to this have been discussed. Personally I've always wanted to see a "pop a cap" game, also known as "protect the VIP", etc. There are teams, and when a rabbit is chosen, the rabbit's team tries to protect the rabbit while all others try to kill him/her. The def...

There are some extra params there because meshboxes are actually arc objects, and they're converted by BZFS before being sent to the client. "inside", "startside", "endside" make sense for arcs, but not meshboxes, because meshboxes are closed and filled in the center. H...

Spawnkills basically come down to two problems: Spawn camping, as mentioned, which can be prevented rather effectively with good map design. Generally it's a good idea to have large spawn zones, cover, etc. Huge tracts of open space opens the field to laser camping, small spawn zones contribute to S...

The BZFlag developers do regulate use of all global services (BZBB, list server, wiki, IRC, etc). People who abuse the list by running advertised cheat servers are likely to be blocked from the list if they don't use a separate game protocol number. However, it is not the devs' job to settle dispute...

How exactly did you point BZFlag's config directory elsewhere? I think you have to add the -configdir to the command every time you run it, i.e., modify your shortcut instead of passing it just once. :)

people with that issue have modified their client to better differentiate between the two teams. First, it's a snap to change out the textures, if that's even a problem, so that they're easy to distinguish from one another when looking out the window. Then, people have tweaked the source (Or was it ...

As a BZFlag player, you all have the right to "vote with your feet", i.e. if you find a server or map offensive, you are free to not play there. If enough people find it to be in bad taste, the server won't be popular. Whining about it accomplishes nothing.
