Re: Voting
Yes, we can change the client to make it easier, or we can make the person who created the map change the % of the number of people to poll ban to 75% instead of 50%. So it would be easier to poll ban people.

Re: a fun flag idea by me that is not a supposed "cheat flag"
That could be a good use for capture the flag maps, but not really any other maps.

Re: fixing lag/jitter problem
We lost the owners manuel, and there are seven stickers on the bottom of the computer with none in particular saying computer model #. There are other ones like serial #, satelite#(which is my laptop), product key#, and part #. I think it is supposed to be the satelite #, but I didn't want to guess ...

Re: Voting
We cant fix everything, and admins wont always be around. So maybe when people register, they get a, "guide book", Of how two do a lot of stuff you can do when your registered. Including how to vote. Then if they still don't vote, I think we're screwed.

Re: fixing lag/jitter problem
I understand what you are trying to say Joevano, but im only in Junior High. I am having some trouble understanding what some of you are talking about. I understand the basics and am having trouble finding some stuff. Like Blast, that looks like it could fix my problems, but I don't know where to fi...

Re: fixing lag/jitter problem
The thing is, it has been like this since I started playing bzflag one year ago. So I don't really think I can reduce it at all. I noticed that six months ago I averaged lag around 500, so that was the only thing that went down in one year.

fixing lag/jitter problem
I usually average lag around 250ms, and jitter around 45ms. I dont know if I should upgrade my computer, or get a new cable modem from my internet provider. By the way, I cant play on maps because of UDP. I know that problem is ISP related though. What should I do next? Thanks for feedback, gentle g...

Re: Trench Warfare by justice
Yes, awesome map justice. This is my favorite for three reasons.1, can't get kicked from game because of my terrible jitter and lag, unless by a poll of course. 2, does not make you have UDP, which I don't have.3, very creative and one of a kind map. Just wondering, how come the level above the tren...

Wow, ive personall never seen this before. I dont see it on the top maps though, so this must be pretty hard to put into a map to make it good.

triggered shots
What if there could be a world weapon go off automatically if someone crosses one specific area. It could be a cool way to rick people without being somewhere near them. It is like in some waterparks where you can make jets go off and the people near them get soaked. It would be cool for setting tra...

Re: Voting
I agree with you boinkage. We should get a system like you just said. The only problem is that it might be too powerful. So maybe we make a rule that makes at least 5-8 people have to vote for that rule to apply.

Re: Voting
The map should be relatively easy and should be mandatory when you start bzflag. It could encourage more people to get involved with the game. I wonder how fun it would be though. That would be the tough question.

hmmmm... interesting. I think it could work on selct servers, but if you have it on the wrong server, people would hate your map.

Re: Voting
the problem red-der is that new registered players just want to play. So they'll go to the server that is there favorite or is at the top of the list. It would be better if there were like 4 bots on the server and signs in the game saying how to do stuff.

suggestive map theme
I am currently trying to make a map and I have an idea that I don't know is fun or not. I am making a two team capture the flag with everything double. Two bases for each team. Two playing fields that you can go from one to the other. Everything is just duplicated higher above the surface but the sa...

Re: Bounce Shock Wave
sounds like people would use this t go get a flag or get beyond laser snipers views. This would be pretty hard to put into bzflag though. Sounds like not a lot a of people would use it if you cant shoot.

Re: Voting
I think a way to change the voting system would be by having a little pop up in a corner of the sreen. It would say to press "y" to vote yes, or press "u" to vote no. People would still have the option to do a regular vote though. I think that would work if we could get it implem...

Re: server option, all flags undroppable
Yeah i was thinking about a nodrop flag area along with a flag auto-drop area. It would be pretty cool for obstacle courses like you menchinned(?). The second one is what you expect as could be bad and worse. And why don't we have a no rico flag already? We already have a rico flag. I can't beleive ...

the third one seems pretty awesome. but i agree with positve gravity with being hard to put into bzflag. the second one is kind of confusing. the first one would be cool if you were observing in observer mode, and a tank with oo tries to go through a wall and they get stuck and die :lol-old: .That g...

Re: Voting
The part that is confusing for me is the "abstain" part. The registered users that don't vote are basically put into the vote no column for voting. You mostly see people being abstain than voting no to have a poll be unsuccesful. By the way, it does not make any sense that some people are ...

Re: Is BZFlag a especial game?
Online games are weird. I've tried different online games but none really fit my personality except for bzflag. It is just a one of a kind game that i can rule at with a good map that fits my playing style.
