As an alternative, you can use the jabberbot. There's a special bzbb topic with details

I don't like the background texture but the idea is great (tank icons and usage of bzflag-related keywords).

really nice map
But I have two questions:
Shouldn't the snowflakes cover the green ground somewhen? (: It's still green :)
Inside the L-form tunnel there's a part of the staircase which is placed next to it. Was that your aim or an accident?

Even when I'm a friend of irony and sarcasm I may contribute the following (translated) saying: Moaning and complaining keeps you busy but not productive. I guess the two general points of view are clear (obviously since months) - as well as the fact they aren't contrary to an enhanced match reporti...

Re: CMS IM could used for bzflag
The idea of a CMS for all leagues isn't new. JeffM (just to say one name) tries to encourage everyone to participate (or initiate) the work on a social oriented CMS for league stuff. As you can see there is nothing working already. Beside human lazyness there are several issues/aspects to handle: a)...

In some strange SVN sub directory (bzflag/trunk/pybzflag/extra_media) I found two blender model files that should contain what you were looking for. If you can't handle *.blend files you should open these files with blender and export them as object files. Access via HTTP: http://bzflag.svn.sourcefo...

Re: bzstats.strayer.de - yet another stats site...
I have to agree with what learner wrote and joevano's experience shows that too. So think about restricting player access (because there already exists at least one plug-in to check for obvious cheating and swearing). However, if you want to see how much player activity you would lose for your serve...

Re: bzstats.strayer.de - yet another stats site...
One thing I would like to see, though I'm not sure if it's possible, is I want to see how many players are registered and how many unregistered players there are in the common stats page (main page) [..] Players 76 - 50 registered 26 unregistered. [..] Well, keep in mind all I can do is a check for...

Re: Frequent name changes
Well, since the callsign update happens once a day only, there is indeed much time to change the own callsign several times meanwhile (o: like "sniper15" for bambino...yes, I'm aware of some other of your callsigns...even if not all 17 :o). The collection doesn't include league internal ca...

Re: Frequent name changes
As supplement to Constitution's "GU Player Tracker" I can offer something similar for BZBB users. Since 1vs1 League requires global registered and auth. players for official matches I was looking for a way to keep players' callsigns somehow up-to-date on the 1vs1 website. I don't want to b...

Re: Menu screen unreadable?
@ King of Hearts Can you check your BZFlag's configuration file for a line like "set useBitmapFontRenderer 1" please? If there's no such line or it has been commented out by a "#", try this setting and start your BZFlag client. If you can read the menu's text then, feel free to u...

Re: lua script notes
The current...latest Lua implementation came not that early, indeed. Unfortunately, Lua seemed to be a real break-through with the potential to be usable for eye-catching effects on server maps and client-view. Now, the Lua implementation will have to wait for the next minor version (major.minor.pat...

Re: lua script notes
Why?
I already started to learn Lua to use the fantastic potential the Lua implementation offers/offered. Would be too bad for the time you invested too.

bzleague.com DNS issue
Some of you might get the message "This domain has expired." when trying to connect to any of the bzleague.com sub-domains. For those of you who can't live without their leagues you can use the following links until menotume (or whoever) can solve the problem. Thanks to James who gave me t...

Re: Team players?
I think this would only be possible, if GU switched to an auto-report system, similar to the 1vs1 league. What happens then to all the fun matches played? They are reported also? And how about for the random times that some newbies start a countdown? Forget about these questions because there are m...

Re: Team players?
I see it like dexter...and want to add my two cents (greetings to catay ^^)... a) When you add a match by hand you have to make sure it's uncomplicated for those who report and those who enter it. So you have to reduce the information to a minimum (as dexter mentioned). b) If you want to increase in...

Re: Global Messages
You are talking about cross-server-chat. As you might know this is a project idea for GSoC'09 . You can see that it has no high priority status. So, if you want to have it for 3.0 or as plug-in someone has to be willing to implement it. (You could be "someone".) Check the forum and/or ask ...
