The roblem is that on densely populated servers (or in a small area with alot of tanks), GM is kind of random on who it decides to lock on to. I always end up looking at the part of the screen where the person's team is likely to show up.

Is there any way to turn off chat, or at least keep it from appearing in the top window? I can toggle the console, radar, flags on field, or almost any other thing, but I can't find a way to toggle the chat.
