Yup, all gone. If you want to know how, just have a look at the CSS files (there are three) and one of the smaller html files. It's really not too bad once you get it to work
(although IE is a bastard when it comes to W3C compliancy, one big bug really)

Shell Shock upgrade

Shell Shock will be undergoing an upgrade tonight, meaning it might be down for 30 minutes or so. Not many of the changes will be visible, it's more a 'behind the scenes' thingy. Visual changes: - graphically a few enhancements here and there in images, layout and colors - a "goto" combo-b...

Not for a while, next few projects also planned in a symmetric way. Last asymmetric I believe must have been Necromancer, released last month.

Supposed to look like an American Football Super Bowl? Nah...I don't do real-life replicas (with Stonehenge being the exception to this rule). Focus is on gameplay. But, I do use themes, and this one definitely has a stadium theme applied to it. So there you go, I have a stadium, need a name for it....

One final improvement, just implemented. Changed the 'boxwall' texture from the standard red to a more brownies-stone type of look. Now there's no more red tanks blending in with the buildings.

I rather would see custom engine sounds per tank. Lets say, there are 20 to 30 or so distinctly different engine sounds to select from in a default BZFlag setup. Then, a player could choose a sound and add it to his 'default profile' or something. The battle starts. You can now hear which player is ...

The pack has been updated now. Changes are: - added a texture for the zoned floor (tx RPG) - tweaked all colors just a little (yellow/green less bright, hunter=orange, blue and purple look nicer now) - added a text file to make the radar colors identical to the new tank colors. If you already downlo...

Tx RPG, will release an updated pack soon with the zoned texture as well. Forgot about that.

Since I'll do an update...do you want some 'mild' form of texture on the tanks or not? Just wondering...still want to keep the tanks bright of course.

Scorch: check the options in the default menu of BZFlag :-) Tweaking the radar in my book. Adjust bullet size, adjust bullet trails, colors, enhanced radar, radar size, transparrency....tweaking.

Correction then, I should give credit to BZEdit too. Don't use it for editing, really just Notepad and Calculator, but I do use BZEdit for previewing the results.

Lol...well, I simply figured that if BZFlag officially allows tweaking the radar, it is also ok to enhance visibility in the real world as well.

Yes, you're missing two invaluable tools: 1 - Microsoft's (R) Notepad Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpclnt_qfe.021108-2107) 2 - Mircosoft's (R) Calculator Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpclnt_qfe.021108-2107) Hey, I am serious. Never used anything but these to create all of my maps. Think they deserve a place i...

Kinda like the 'old-school / no-camouflage' look on the tanks. Simple, pure and highly visible. Honestly, who wants enemy tanks to be camouflaged? :D :D :D I want to see them before they see me!

Something like that would be a good start. Usually those news-subscribe services also let you choose if you want immediate updates, or collected on a weekly basis, so that should be automated. Will definitely include BZ news too, like upcomming releases, new websites, tournaments, whatever. Will nee...

High-Contrast / Cool-looks texture pack

I zipped the custom-textures I like to use and uploaded them to my website. I made them such that they look nice, while at the same time they would enhance visibility. Rogue tanks are actually yellow :-) and much easier to spot. The whole world feels less dark too. Especially the bricks I like, I fe...

Wasn't aiming for that, but after playing for a few hours with 6 to 10 people, it seems rather feasible to host a tournament thingy in here. Who knows? If somebody is crazy enough to host one :-)

This map will probably be out tomorrow, but here are some shots. If you want to play it now, you can head over to the shellshock.bzflag.bz:4501 game server. 4 shots at double speed and no flags.
