Thanks!

They yellow things are bullets, and a wwzone around there WOULD make some sense. I'll try and build that in.

Yes, this is my fourth map, I think it took me more time than the others combined :) I'm glad I did put the time into it.

GREAT map. Played there yesterday and had a blast. One of the cool things is that while usually being on top of a box is an advantage, riding up the escalators means you get to shoot first. I noticed something however: you can get sealed on the spiral staircase in the middle. Usually you pop right b...

Just kidding...I like the jump shots like ducatiwannabe. The best maps are ones with lots of different layers for me to jump to.

Okay! My submission is in. I hope I'm not too late.

Here is the map's thread.

I might be able to add secret passages and stuff every now and then, to vary the gameplay a bit and to have new things for players to discover.

MI6 HQ V1.4

This is a map I made for the MI6 mapmaking contest. Screenies: http://joesmagicgathering.googlepages.com/HQ.JPG This is the center of the map. Usually, there are a bunch of flags around here, but I removed them for this picture. The cylinder in the center is a safezone for team flags. This means tha...

This DOES make sense, it has some very relevant and useful tips.

The only thing that you didn't mention was when there's a bad guy hiding behind a box, and you and your teammate have to get him by flanking...but I don't know if thats to specific.

Great job!

How about, instead of using superflag weapons, you use regular shots, then? As long as the tube is completely sealed (and you have ricochet on), the shots will bounce around inside the tube. Also, since they're normal shots, the sounds aren't all that annoying. I think there's still a shot sound, a...

Implenting "bases" for non-conventional use seems rather specific and limited, IMHO. Perhaps there is a better choice, like enabling plugins to change textures on meshes, that will be a more universal solution. Actually, the way this is looking, we just need a whole bunch of things that t...

That's not quite the same...this way you'd just have to drive up the the object and you'd start going up (It would work on no jumping servers). But I see now that it is very similar to being very skilled at noClimb 0.

Well what if the tank "bumped" up the slope without tilting?

CL flag wins again!

Isn't there a variable that determines how close you have to be to a laser before it kills you? Maybe they turned that way down so it's almost impossible to get hit.

It probably wouldn't be too hard to find out who's controlling what... Let's say the area that people have to try and control is a big blue transparent passable dome. It's a red vs green game. You can just look inside the dome to see what color of tank is in there! Maybe you could even simply add a ...

I've tried things suggested here, but none have worked... The ceilings are actually one-way meshes. When dropped, the flag goes all the way up to the next floor above . It isn't resting on the same ceiling that causes it to "bump". Also, tanks *are* meant to drive where these flags keep bu...

Now, I'm not saying that this is necessarily correct, and I'm nowhere near an expert on this sort of thing, but perhaps if you reinstall the client it will "see" that the processor is different and will run properly.

Worth a shot right?

That's a client they run which runs several bots to attract players to their lame server. They are free to use whatever they want as a callsign for their client. But then don't the bots have to join a team, rather than obs? If you zoom in, the roster shows that the observer is holding a narrow flag...

Well, I played on it about twenty minutes a few days ago. I'm not very impressed... there are several nooks and crannies that are impossible to hit, and a rabbit sits in that spot and simply ricochets the bullet up... no matter how you try to approach, you can't get the rabbit... or it's almost imp...

There could also be small flat surfaces in the corners. Then you could make it a CTF!

Search the list for "tank driving 101" if you want to learn how to jump. There are also a number of great maps that have been up recently where you have to cap your own team flag...those help jumping skills immensely. Badgerking's FFA is a good map to start playing if you want to actually,...

I also tried two castles first. I got killed too much, so I tried other servers. My friend told me that Badgerking's was the best, so I started playing there almost exclusively. I still kind of agree with him :)
